  • clock wipe ring in 5 sections at same time

    Hi –

    – would like clock wipe on a ring ( circle / no fill with stroke ) using 5 sections all traveling clockwise at the same time – ie each of the 5 animating sections covers 72 degrees of the total 360.

Anyone got any ideas please on the easiest way to do this.

try circle effect, setting ‘edge’ to ‘thickness’ to create a ring.

then add radial wipe (set completion to 5% so you can see what’s going on), then duplicate that effect, add an expression for completion and pick whip that to the first radial wipe’s completion, and then set the start angle to 72.

duplicate that radial wipe effect a few more times, increasing the start wipe angle by 72 degrees each time and you should be able to animate the completion value for the first radial wipe effect to transition the ring on/off.
