This is my first post here. Hope I am posting in the right group. (little confused about where to post). Need help in understanding this. When I post a 4k mp4 clip from my Lumix gx 85 camera in vegas pro12, the clip has extended freeze frames at the end. (Uploaded the screen shot with the clip posted on the timeline.Audio track falls short as seen here) Is it my Zotac gpu gtx 550ti that is the problem here ? Should I upgrade the gpu ? I have 16gb ram and intel core i7 2600 (1155) processor on intel z68 motherboard. Thanks

    Hi Bunuel

What method are you using to transfer the files to your computer ?

Do you get the same problem when transferring AVCHD Files ?

    Cheers !

Thanks for the response Francois, I bought the lumix gx85 recently. I have lumix gh2 also and I have been editing mts video files from the gh2 regularly. They load and render perfectly. This problem is with the gx85 mp4 files. (resolution 3840×2160) Vegas 12 pro does not have 3840 option to begin a project in. So I tried it with 4096×2304 4k and several other options Same problem with all settings. I normally copy the files from the card to the computer and then load it in vegas. I feel it is a problem with the graphics card 550ti. I have no facilities to check and confirm using other cards. Hence wanted to know from the forum. Thanks.

I got a solution from another forum. I have copied and pasted below what I was advised. The version 2 has problems,it seems. Downloaded Magix Vegas Movie Studio 15 platinum trial version and that solved the problem. The clips are loading and rendering perfectly now. Posting this so that it will help someone having similar problem like me.
    Suggestion-
    1. The final build version for Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 12 that was ever released by Sony, was build version 1184 (64 bit version).
Go to Help/About in Vegas to find your current build version.
If you are using an older version, download #1184 and install it.
Go to this link and enter your Serial number for Vegas – you will then get the final version released.
    https://www.magix.com/us/support/my-service-center/product-downloads/
    Now re-test your video.
    2. If you still have a problem, download the free trial for Vegas Movie Studio 15 Platinum.
Import your video and see if it works.
My guess is that it will display perfectly OK in this version of Vegas.
