I synced some footage using Plural Eyes. The footage is 1920X1080 23.98fps Apple Pro Res 422 and the audio is wav files 48 KHz and 24 bit. I pulled slx from those clips and began cutting those selects into my timeline which is DVCPRO HD 1080i60 29.97 32 bit floating point. (I know, maybe that’s my problem right there.) Anyway, the slx are fine in the viewer but when I watch them in the sequence, they are out of sync. FCP doesn’t see them as out of sync. There is no red box with a plus or minus an amount of frames. And, the scariest part is that when I go back to my bin with my selects, they are out of sync there too. At this point I’ve restored an older project but I’m afraid to go on working. This happened once before, again, when I used Plural Eyes, and it messed up all my old sequences. Is this a Plural Eyes bug? Is it my clips being 23.98 fps and my sequence being 29.97? Should I export all my selects as QT movies so new media is created and just work from those? Help please!
