I export a lot of deliverables from various projects for a TV network. Before I upload them, I import the finished mp4s into a Quality-Check.prproj to watch for consistency, mostly of audio levels from video to video.

I’ve noticed that when I play one of these mp4s in the Source Monitor, the audio peaks hit at -1db or so. When I drop the clip into its own sequence however, the peaks drop to -5 db or so. There are no adjustments (volume or otherwise) to the clip or the track. My audio prefs seem to be the default.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this a bug? Is something setup wrong? Thanks for any advice.
