Premiere Pro CC on a new Mac Pro with D700 and 64 gb ram.

When opening my project, all the footage is grayed out. Footage consists of mostly R3D files, but there are some Canon 5D files too. When I say “grayed out”, I mean that the clip-view-frame is just gray.

They’re all on an extrernal RAID.

Premiere is not complaining about linking or anything. Seems to link fine. It’s just that the player wont play the files. When double clicking on a clip, the player window kinda stops refreshing, and I can’t press play.

I can scroll the playback-line on the timeline, even zoom in and all. Just not press play. It’s as if the player isn’t initialising.

Usually Premiere won’t shut down propberly, when this happens, and I need to Force Quit.

This error seems to follow the project. But when I start a new project and import the older project, everything is fine…. until I save this new project, and try to open it again.

I had this thing happen on my older mac pro too.

I’ve tried resetting Premiere on startup, holding ALT buttoin, but this does not clear the issue.

Are you on OSX 10.9.3? If so, revert to 10.9.2.

    Yes, on 10.9.3.

Will do… or push through to 10.9.4.
