  • Clips fall offline even after reconnect and save – how to fix?!

Apologies ended up also posting this in the FCP forum.

Working with an editor. He says the problem is that the clips fall offline, hard drive securely connected and all, and even after a manual reconnect and save, it continues to happen. How can this be? What are some solutions?

    – Clips may be merged – Video + separately recorded audio (not yet clear which clip, but likely all of the them)
    – May be have been synced clips with PluralEyes
    – The clips are on a Raid drive system
    – No other clips that I know of are going offline

I have read this FAQs on PluralEyes’ site, but knowing this is not helpful, as the work can’t necessarily be redone now!

“After the sync, clips or multiclips have a red slash, indicating they are offline

This can occur if the video clips have audio tracks that were deleted before the sync. This causes structural problems in the project data that is received by PluralEyes. If there are tracks you don’t want to use in the final production (typically because they are silent), keep them until after the sync is done and delete them from the synced sequence.”

    I really need a solution!

Advice / solutions ASAP would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.
