[Clipping solution] It was clipped at the wireless mic but not the camera itself
Hi all, I’ve got some footages filmed by a client where the audio sound distorted yet by the look at the waveform they weren’t clipped during the recording.
My guess is that the –dB setting on the wireless / lapel mic was set too high, at the same time the camera has some sort of sound capture limiter which avoid clipping. So it was maxed out before being captured to the camera and thus you didn’t notice while monitoring the meter.
I’ve tried to look online and see if there’s any solution to fix this but all I found was how to de-clip the audio (which in my case it wasn’t clipped theoretically) . Is there anything I can do? Adobe Audition is the only software I have.
Thanks in advance!
