Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Clip problem!

Having a strange problem, I’ve captured footage from a MiniDV and all of the clips are fine (720×480 DV/NTSC) and display correctly except for the first clip I captured. Final Cut seems to think this clip is 810×480 and I can’t figure out why. I re-captured the same part of the tape and I get the same result. I checked my capture settings and they are all good, and nothing changed in camera from the time I shot that stuff and the rest. Is there a way to make FCP interpret the footage correctly?

Fid you use a fresh tape? It’s possible there’s a snippet of some other format at the head. Are you capturing from the camera or a deck? If you’ve got both, try the other. Can you do a Capture Now?

I think it may have been an issue with the deck. Our network uses Sony DSR1500a for capturing and when I tried it on a clamshell it captured fine. Thanks for your help!
