Clip is black with audio when played in Quicktime
Hi,
I have a 3 minute clip cut in FCP that is 16:9 with stereo sound. I am saving it as Pro res 422. When I export to quicktime using current settings it plays in quicktime on my computer. When I try and play it using quicktime on any other computer it plays with sound only.I need to send it away to be put on Digi Beta and need to send it on a flash drive for duplication.Can any one help please? -

It’s not playing on the other computer because the ProRes 422 codec is not available there.
It should be fine as long as the dup house has ProRes 422 available on their systems. But don’t assume. Always, always, ALWAYS check with your service providers for their preferred delivery formats and follow them TO THE LETTER!

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the advice.The weird thing is they requested ProRes 422 and they are telling me they can only get audio and not vision. I am at a loss at the moment.
