I use a JVC GY HM700u and record in native FCP format. I can import these files into FCP without a problem but I have noticed that long interview clips split into pieces. I would prefer that this not happen. If I shoot a 30 minute interview, can I not have a 30 minute clip import?

    Thanks

This might be due to file size limitations due to formatting. For example, P2 cards have a 4GB limit due to FAT32 formatting. The P2 Log & Transfer workflow in FCP, however, combines these spanned clips into one clip on injest. I’ve never used media from a 700 and don’t know if there’s a workflow that will stitch together the files the way you want. You might search the JVC forum to see if there’s a solution there.
