clip Fade Default?
Is it possible to set a new default type on the fade you place on a clip. So that after i make a fade in or out, I can use the type i favor? Rather than creating the fade then changing it?

There is no way that I can see to change this. I would put in a Product Suggestion with Sony. It sounds like it would be useful to have.

I believe you can change the default Audio/Video fades in the “Preferences/External Control & Automation” tab.

See this thread for hidden options to change the default fade type for audio and video events. This works for me in Movie Studio HD 10, and prtobably applies to Pro as well:
