I have just got a HVX 200 cam
and have Liquid Pro 7I understand that i am unable to edit
DVC Pro HD at the moment but thought I could edit DVC Pro 50
I am using the firestore FS100 and have 2 choices for file save
RAW and P2 I tried RAW and that created a DV file the import to avid
was ok for picture but no Audio….??!! Tried P2 and no hope.
Please any pointers would be great I love the camera but would like to edit !!Simon

August 2, 2006 at 3:32 pmWe have a similar issue in our Post Production also related to the missing Windows QT codecs.
We capture all footage from DigiBeta & D5 as either DVCPro50 or DVCProHD using Aja Kona 3 cards in Final Cut Pro. All has worked flawlessly until we recently attempted to connect some PCs to our Xsan and share this QuickTime media. The PCs are video transcoders, so they have to have access to the media.
To our surprise there is no Apple QuickTime for Windows DVCPro50 or DVCProHD codec. How can these codecs simply not be available for Windows QuickTime? The whole point of a shared video environment over Xsan (and ADIC Storenext FX software) is that Macs and even PCs can collaborate on a project based on QuickTime media. The QuickTime codec shouldn
