    Hi Everyone,

Hopefully someone here can help me out. I’m doing this write on text for a client’s piece and it’s gone pretty smoothly so far. The biggest problem with it is that because of the varying widths of the strokes in the logo the paint on effect has a few small flaws. I’ve uploaded a video for you to take a peek at to see what I mean:

And here are images of those letters with the issue in question (incase the video goes by too quick):

I don’t really know how I can go about fixing this as far as I know there’s no way to vary the brush size of the actual stroke FX. Perhaps masking that section? im not sure.

If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!

I’m using the “stroke” effect, but it’s the same idea as the write on – and yes it’s a illustrator doc. I have each of the letters (other than ‘hel’ which are joined together in the original illustrator doc) on a seperate layer. Creating a track mate hopefully shouldn’t be too tricky… I’ll give it a shot an report back!

Clearly I’m too much of a newb here… I’m having trouble figuring out what it is that I should be doing… should I be drawing a mask? how do I go about making this track matte? man, im dumb haha.
