Cleaning Up Scripting
I am on MAC OS X and everytime I startup AE, it seems to freeze up on the splash screen where it says “Cleaning up Scripting” any ideas on how I can fix this?

Check your system’s firewall/ security settings. If you have enabled “Allow scripts to access network…” in AE’s prefs, yet your firewall is blocking its port, it may hang. The same could be true without the option enabled, if soem tool is blocking disc access for scripts.

Cool, thanks Mylenium, I’ll check out the prefs and see if it changes anything.
