  • Cleaning up old black and white footage tip and tricks?

Does any one have any suggestions on how to do this realitvely easily since I have a lot of footage to do and not a lot of time. Lots of dirt and scratches as well as some over exposed areas I think mainly due to the telecine transfer.

Is there other software out there designed for doing this kind of stuff or should I just use AE. Any filters that might be helpful, etc.

    Thanks for any help.

For exposure levels use Levels to balance out the tonal contrast.
And for scratches/dust use Compound blur (just play with the blur amount – just enough to ‘sticth’ the scratch)

Save settings as favourites and apply to all your footage.
