I’ve tried many noise filter plugins and still have not found any that work better than, don’t laugh! Cool Edit 1. As long as you have a fairly long sample of just the noise, a few seconds minimum, and the noise is constant like hiss and hum as described, it works better that all the plugins I’ve tried.

Here’s a link to freeware cool edit pro but I think it’s 2.1
It’s not a plugin but a audio editor. Even if it’s a free trial, it’s worth a free shot. Danny
