Classic Animated Smoke
Hello,
I am having real trouble with an issue and would be forever grateful if someone can help me…
I need to animate a version of the Magic Mirror from Snow White, in which I will superimpose an actor’s talking head instead of the mask… Basically I am having real trouble replicating the cartoony smoke in this reference :

As you can see; this smoke is like semi-transparent wispy liquid, moving quite slowly. I have tried playing with particular but everything is either too realistic or too high in velocity. If some one has any possible solution for this, it would be much appreciated!

I’ve made smoke with the different noise generators and masks.

Thanks. By ‘noise generators’ do you mean like fractal noise? and then animate the mask by key framing it into various shapes?

Don’t forget, you can also layer effects on top of Fractal Noise (or Turbulent Noise) to make it look better. For example, CC Vector Blur is great for this.
