Clarification
Correct me if I’m wrong here…(My eyes are getting blurry from reading spec pages for too long…)
Kona LH does not up-convert during capture, only down-converts.
AJA Kona 3 up-converts during capture, and down-converts.
Correct?

Correct, but it’s not just captures. The Kona LH can downconvert during normal playback as well.

Kona 3 Upconverts, DownConverts and Cross Converts (720 to 1080 and vice versa) both during capture and during playback from FCP. Even as a stand-alone converter in Pass Through Mode.
