I’m trying to find a converter box that I can use to hook up my HVX200 to a 23″ Cinema Display for live monitoring while shooting.
I bought a cheap component to DVI converter that was supposed to be able to handle frame sizes up to 1920 x 1080 but no luck, no picture.
I know the component outputs work since I can hook those up directly to an HDTV, but since these are too big to bring in the field I was trying to find a way to use my Cinema Display.

    Thanks in advance,
    Erik

    Erik,

I got a 24″ Westinghouse to do my field monitoring.. Not the bestest of all monitors but it looks good and has component HD, HDMI, composite and SVHS inputs all for under 400 bucks delivered from Best Buy… For the price I am amazed it looks as good as it does… and if the grip dumps it,I am out a half days wages not a week…

I guess I never looked at it from that angle. You’re right, that is an affordable solution.

I still would like to what component to DVI converters would work.

    Thanks for your idea!
