  Cinema 4D Render Farm – Standalone machine. What’s my best option?

  Hi.
  I’m about to go freelance as a 3D designer. I use Cinema 4D R16 Studio on a mac but I’ll need to get my own gear asap.

  So, my idea would be to get an iMac Retina 5K with the i7 Processor which will leave me with around £2500 to spend on a backup drive (£500) and a couple of smaller bits so essentially I have around £2000 for a standalone rendering machine.

  I don’t mind building my own PC if I have to but I want the most ‘bang for my buck’ so can anyone advise me on a build / processors, etc as I have no clue what’s going to work best.
