    Hey everybody,

I’m trying to create an effect based on the Logo treatment Troika Design Group implemented for the Sunday Night Football logo treatment for NBC.

I know how to use the cloner and what not to create the LED light/Matrix board look in a semetrical surface (square, circle, what have you) but I’m trying to fill a custom shape in a logo with the lights, like the example below.

Any suggestions you all have would be greatly appreciated, and again, props to Troika for creating such inspiring work!

    Thanks!
    Ryan

Its pretty straight forward. Make you spline and place it in an extrude nurbs and put the caps onto Quads and check the Grid Option. I Set the extrude to 0 so its just a flat plane.

Then in mograph set your cloner object to “Object” and drag your extrude nurbs into the link option now provided in the cloner object. You can try the different Mode options to see what you like best.
I made a really quick example file here:

I didnt use enough subdivides so the edge lights are not smooth but you can see how it works.
