I shot an outdoor interview with a ‘plastic’ greenscreen hung behind the talent. When I got the footage in Vegas I saw that the wind had picked up and flapped the lower corner up and down during 90% of the shoot. Why didn’t I see it? Well…. long story but I’ll never get these people at the same place, at the same time again. I don’t know how to fix this. I need an idea, a glimmer of hope – something.

[Ralph French] “I need an idea, a glimmer of hope – something.”

Here is your glimmer. You can go into pan crop and once there use the mask feature to mask out the area that your green screen did not cover.

For a how to you might drop by VASST.com and search for mask.
I think you can also figure it out by looking in Vegas help file for bezier mask.

Using a Bezier mask is also explained in Vol 3 #3 of my newsletters.

Thanks guys. I was hoping for the ‘I can’t beleive it was that simple’ answer. I guess I’ll just have to earn my pieces of silver on this one. Thanks for the quick response.
