While using the “keyer” effect in fcpx, increasing and decreasing the “edge distance” isn’t changing anything. i am working on a paid gig and they aren’t liking the line on the key and nothing is allowing me to change it. can anybody help? i think i will lose this gig if i can’t figure it out.
    THANKS!

If you have motion 5, use that keying insteed.
It is basicly the same, but you have more parameters to work with to fine adgust the keyer.
The “light wrap” is one tool that makes it easier to make the forground to “Marry” with the background.

Otherwise, buy Motion 5, its not that expensiv in compairsment to kosing tha jobb.

Also NoiseIndustries Phyx Keyer is available for FCPX.

The FCP X and Motion 5 keyers are the same filter. It seems to be one of the better ones available. But due to the effects architecture in FCP X the controls are dumbed down in FCP X. Motion 5 exposes the manual controls for far better results when the key foreground is less than perfect.
