Chroma Key Low Threshold Doesn’t Go Low Enough
I’m brand new to doing chroma keys, but Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0 made it very easy to do. However, my test footage of me standing in front of the green screen still shows me as slightly transparent. I used a light colored photo and a dark colored photo and got the same result. I have the low threshold turned all the way down, but it’s not enough. The high threshold isn’t having any effect. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Im not sure about Platinum but try moving the high threshold all the way to the left and move the low threshold to the right until it looks right. Play with these two faders until it works. The chromakeyer in Vegas is not that good, no spill supression. If your keying DV footage and Platinum has the chroma blur pluggin, add that first in the pluggin chain and set the blur to med. This will help with the jaggies. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

Get it as good as you can, then hit the small box above the little dropper (eye) then adjust the little triangles starting from the top.
Oh and don’t forget to do you adjusting in “show mask only” mode.Sony Vegas, Particle Illusion, NOOB!
