I just recently upgraded from Encore 1.0 to 2.0 and continued an old project I had from 1.0 in the new version. Everything works fine and I’m loving the new features, except now the audio playback in the preview is very choppy. I can’t figure out why. I thought this would be fixed in the transcoding but after putting the project on disk I’m finding the same problem on every device I play it on.

Try to encode your sound track by any other software :
    Sonic Scenarist AC3 Encoder
    Sonic Foundry Soft Encoder
    Adobe Premiere’s Surrcode AC3 encoder
    Nuendo AC3 encoder
    …….

What is the source of your Audio file please?
Does the original Audio play correctly in, say, Windows Media Player?
Also, what is the combined bitrate of both Audio & Video files? (I have had choppy playback when I inadvertently exceeded the bitrate limitation of 9.8Mb/sec total)
Finally, what is the setting for audio transcoding?
