Howdy, I have a Canon xl2 camera(SD), and I shot some clips in 24p 16×9 aspect . In rendering I’m trying to determine the best template fit.

The closest I see is DVD architet Ntsc widescreen video stream.
This renders at 23.976 fps and 720 x 480 but no audio??

I would like audio, so what would be my best choice.

Use the Dolby Digital AC-3 Pro preset, give it the same name as your video file and render it to the same folder.
That way, when you load the video file into DVD Architect, the audio will automatically follow.

Gary, separate renders are the recommended procedure for making a DVD with Vegas and DVDA.
