I’m doing simple zoom ins/outs by changing the size and position of my footage in FCPs Motion tab.

My focus is in the top left of the image and I’d like to add motion blur for realism but FCP’s Motion Blur does not have an option for defining a center so the effect doesn’t look right.

Are there any plugins or workarounds that will allow me to define a center for the motion blur?

You could try radial blur. That does have a positioner and the type of blur may work foro your effect

The Zoom Blur is closer to what I need but that has to distort the image to work.

Also, I want the motion that’s blurred to be determined by the movement of the entire image, not movement within the image.
