I shot some footage which was shaded by a tree. I tried my best to reduce the shadow effect with manual camera settings(Canon T2i) but i still didn’t win the battle.

I have been using Sony Vegas Pro 11 to edit my video so far. Are there any editing tips/tricks to make this footage look better?
One angle was shot with a 10-22mm lens and the other with an 18-55mm. I believe they both had a cir-pl filter on them to reduce the glare off the rocks, Auto Light Optimizer was “Strong”.

    Thanks Everyone!

Shoot when the sun is high in the sky

Objects tend to cast shadows when they get between the sun and where you are shooting.

Other than that the footage looks fine to me, maybe a little over exposed

    Thank You!

I have only had the camera a few months now and have been learning a lot. Any tips, both for shooting or editing, are greatly appreciated!

I have learned to love cloudy days and will be sure to work on the “high in the sky” tips as well!

    Thanks!
