I do educational videos in Vegas by combining massive amounts of individual media and picture files from a single folder on the timeline at proper time moments.
That’s basically a presentation with voice over, and it’s easy to miss something, when the pieces count reaches a thousand or so. Numbering the files in progressive orders doesn’t help much, as the media files are done first, narration next, so this is an extra effort to number them in correct order to correspond the future voice over which is not produced yet.
I wonder if these any way to check if a media/picture file from a given folder on the drive is present in the timeline at least once?

Hi Izzy! Yes there is. There is a COUNT Column. This does what it says, it counts the number of times any Media Event is used. But that’s not all! We can do a SEARCH for the number of times Media is used. Put in a parameter of zero “0” and you will have a collection of Unused Media in its own BIN!????
