  Character Offset limited to a few letters as words

  I’m trying to animate words on a line scrambling around with the text character offset. I know that there must be a way to put an expression on the source text or character offset that limits to only a few letters and keeps the words in order for example:

  bug nest lady net car desk ear

  and the words on the line would scramble with the character offset.
