Good morning, everyone. Can anyone tell me why I might be having trouble getting my chapter markers to carry over to DSP?

I am exporting using Quicktime Conversion, then selecting MPEG2. When I open the file in DSP, the chapter points are not there. And yes, I am selecting “Add Chapter Marker” when I create/name the marker.

Any ideas? Does this only work if you export as a quicktime movie? Why?

Post the exact versions of FCP, and DVD SP you are running. Also note that chapter markers have to be made in the timeline, and not inside any clips which are there…

Jerry, thanks so much for your response. I am running FCP5 and DSP4.

I think you nailed it on this one, though. I put my chapter markers in the clip itself, which I believe requires you to drag the clip back into the browser and export from there.

If you want to export from the timeline, you need to make your chapter markers in the sequence timeline as you stated.

Thanks again. This board is great!
