Hi! I’m trying to create chapter markers for a video on my website. So far, I’ve tried two routes. One is to add the following line of code: <track src=”nightingale analysis chapter.vtt” kind=”chapters” srclang=”en” label=”English” default=”default”>

A similar line of code (<track src=”nightingale analysis.vtt” kind=”subtitles” srclang=”en” label=”English”>) works well enough when it comes to subtitles, but chapter markers aren’t showing up.

The other approach I’ve tried is using the Subler app. The video (saved in m4v format) works fine on my computer; QuickTime Player shows the little buttons and lines icon, and I click on that and the chapter markers all show up.

But when I upload it that little buttons and icons icon isn’t there. I’ve been struggling with this all day and got nowhere!

Can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks!

OK, I think I’ve cracked it. The following link was very useful:
