Changing stretched frame resolution change
Hey my friend is using final cut pro however the camera shes using will only export footage as widescreen and “pillarbox” it causing select frames to appear stretched and therefore blurred.
As i have never used final cut pro if the footage was exported as widescreen would it not be “letterboxed” or is that the same thing?? and is there a way that the resolution of these stretched frames can be changed to suit the other frames and therefore cut out the blurring??
Any help would be greatly appreciated

We need more information about your workflow. What codec are you using to edit? What codec was used in the camera? What version of FCP are you using? Did you let FCP choose the sequence settings? When you say”frames” do you mean that literally? Do you see individual frames that are “stretched” surrounded by frames that aren’t.

hey thank you for your reply have spoken to her and all she knows is the camera that was used for the “stretched frames” is a panasonic hd-dr, she is using final cut pro 7 and she did let fcp choose the sequence settings. hopefully this helps as it was all i was able to get out of her.
