changing size of jpg for video montage
Hi … I normally make photo montages on my Vegas, for clients. Normally, the .jpg size of each image is about 50 kb to 200 kb, approximately. Well, a client just gave me a cd-rom with 100 images, and each image is about 4 to 5 MB. When I render it and play it back on my DVD player, the images are not smooth when there’s some key framing. The trees in some pictures, for instance, get a little pixel-y. I believe it’s the size/compression of the images. Is there a way to turn a 4 mb image into, let’s say, a 100 kb image?? I would love to hear what you have to say.
Also, is there a way to get my name from appearing in Red, it’s kind of embarrassing to have my name stand out for all of the world to see *blush*

You will need to use your photo editing program to downsize the images. Many allow batch processing so you may be able to do them all at once.

Thank-you so much for your response — helps out greatly. I’m just learning PhotoShop, and I tried a couple pictures in there, downsizing, then rendering, and it worked! Yahoo! Thank-you for also telling me about how our names appear in Red only on our own posts 🙂

Use a program like IrfanView (it’s free) to automate the batch resizing for you. Very quick & easy.

I’m sure the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority appreciate your usage of their copyrighted slogan. Gives them more exposure. Oh! and I am also a big fan of Irfanview for simple phot projects and viewing, I use Photoshop for larger projects.Hello from Las Vegas
