Changing several compositions together
This is two parts….
First, I have several groups of compositions that all need to change dimensions from time to time. Is there a way to change the compositions dimensions at the same time?
Second, I have a folder of compositions and a source file. The source file is put into the MASTER_TEMPLATE composition, then there are 6 other compositions in the folder that use the MASTER_TEMPLATE as a layer, but with different position offsets. It would be handy to duplicate the folder and replace the source file in the MASTER_TEMPLATE, but when I do so, the copies all still reference the original MASTER_TEMPLATE and not my duplicated version. Is there a way to accomplish what I’m looking for?

crgreen.com/aescripts has a script called selected comps changer that will allow you to make changes to comp settings of several comps at once… is that what you are after?
as for the second issue… i think you are talking about duplicating a folder within the project window (versus an windows/finder folder outside of ae)… to do this within the same project you would need to relink the new comps to the corresponding nested comps within a given comp.
however, you could duplicate the project file (in windows/finder) then make changes within the master template (or any other nested comps) and they would update correctly.

Thank-you very much. I get what you are saying about duplicating folders, but that still is a lot of work (I have to re-link 6 compositions per folder, there are over 50 folders). Thanks!
