  • Changing One Title Card on a DVD in the Final Cut workflow

    Hi all,

OK, let me explain what Im trying to do

An old client came to me the other day with the news that the title had to be changed to his film. Its an hour long film, but basically this means just swapping out two seconds where the title appears with a new one.

There’s one caveat though, the director lost the final master to this movie. So all I have is this one DVD. I started to bring it through DVD ripping software, and then other software to prep it for final cut, however the quality loss is very large.

Can anyone think of a way, maybe in DVD studio pro or something to just swap out two seconds, so i can keep the film in at least decent DVD quality?

Again all I have to work from is this DVD.

    Thank you all kindly

    John

Is the text overlayed over anything?

    No.

If I had the master I could just take out those two seconds and replace them with a new title card.

Do you have access to the DVD Studio Pro project?

What I am trying to do is avoid another recompression.
