  • Changing how Vegas decodes Quicktime files, Vegas shows media offline!!

I have a current project that has a ton of large .mov clips. The editing was going fine until I added the final batch of new clips and then Vegas stopped reading the .mov’s and the preview screen turned black, Vegas showed the clips as “Media Offline”.

I’ve done a bunch of research and it seems there is a problem with the codec, or at least adding too many large .mov’s into one timeline.

My question is, is there a way to convert the qt7plug (Quicktime) to the compoundplug (AVC) that vegas usually uses to decode the files internally?

Or, is there a solution to this and can I continue editing the large .mov’s with an adjustment to the settings in Vegas? The project is near completion and I can’t really afford to spend too much time redoing it entirely. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
