I’m still not sure ht the “canvas ” window is called in FCPX after all these years I’m slightly ashamed to say. I think it’s just the Viewer now.

I’m pretty certain I’m having a senior moment here but would be grateful if somebody could help me out.

I’m using the Censor effect in a number of places in my timeline.

Now I want to change and move some of them.

The only way I seem able to do this is in the Inspector window. When I highlight the clip in the timeline I do not see the shape mask in the Viewer in the same way I do when I have just applied the effect for the first time.

I’m sure I have been able to do this in the past but may be mistaken.

Make sure the Censor effect tab in the inspector tab is selected/activated. If it’s not, the OSC won’t be shown.
