  • Changing Composition size breaks Camera/Layer view?

Posted by Lee Gibbons on March 16, 2017 at 5:56 am

I am having a problem, when I try and change composition settings, all of my 3D layers break. please see examples below!

    before

    after

Any idea how I can fix this ☹

    I get this problem alot,

I always have this problem, when I want to precomp something, the comp size always cuts out and keeps all the layers only in the size of the Comp, which never helps when putting a comp into another comp….

I’ve always wondered if there a was a quick fix for this.

It seems the coordinates are coming from the top left (legacy pixel mapping).

I wonder if anyone has made a script of some sort.

Sorry a bit slow here !

So is there a fix for this I am missing? do I have to just start again from when I made any Camera frames ?

You can try dragging your comp into a comp of the right dimensions and then hit the ‘collapse transformations’ toggle on the layer.

Or if it’s to do with the camera ranging from the top left, you could try clicking the advanced tab in the composition settings and anchor to the top left before you change the dimensions.
