I want to change colours within a clip, for example changing the colour of water from blue at the beginning of the clip to green at the end. Can you key this type of change, and if so, how? I am using Adobe Premier Pro CS5.

Thanks Todd. I did try this, but it’s very hard to make the change gradual, even with keys it jumps straight from blue to green, maybe because the colors are so close to each other. What has worked better is copying the same clip with completely changed color onto the track above and altering opacity.

Try the second color corrector in the three way color corrector.

Why doesn’t key framing work with this Geoff?

Hi Al. Key framing does work but it’s very difficult to get a graded transition as I think that maybe the colors (blue and green) are too close. I put one key near the start of the clip in blue and a second near the end of the clip in green, hoping for a gradual change but it jumps from blue to green almost immediately.
What has worked is putting the same clip in green on the track above the blue one and keying in an opacity change.

Have you tried multiple keyframes along the line?
