    I’m using Premier 1.5 (Yes I not it is old, but that’s what I have)with a Blackmagic MultiBridge Extreme to capture.

    My problem is even though I set the Blackmagic Preferences to capture DV/DVCPro25 (and it does when I capture using the BlackMagic Controller). When I try to capture in Premier it will only capture at an 8 Bit Uncompressed setting.

    Any ideas on how to capture at DV quality in Premier using the BlackMagic?

    Thanks;

    DV is 8-bit. Uncompressed is higher quality than to DV.
    Sounds like you’re set.? Unless you’re having issues with uncompressed file sizes?

    I do find it odd that there is no DV capture. Perhaps you can update a driver or something, for your BlackMagic.
    Maybe look in your project settings, under DV Device (I can’t remember exactly right now).
