I am new to FCP, so I edited my 5D2 footage in H.264 and did not set up the timeline properly, so the result was not good.

I have now converted the footage to ProRes422 and and connected my clips to the footage. The timeline is set up to ProRes422, but all the frame only fill one third of the screen. If I then delete one of the clips and load the same clip, in the monitor, put in the in and out points and drag it to the timeline, then the picture fills out the monitor.

But I do not like to do that manually. Is there a way to do it smarter.

Select all clips on the timeline, right-click, choose remove attributes, check distort and basic motion, then hit OK.
