Change the color of the clone tool
Hi;
I would like to know if anyone knows how to change the color of the clone tool as it appears against the photo you are working on? Some times it is hard to see it against the gray background of a black and white photo. Also mine changed from a circle to a cross for no apparant reason the other day. How do I get it back to a circle?

There are settings for the painting cursors (yes, Clone is considered a paint brush) in the preferences that I think will help you out.
Also, what version of Photoshop are you using? One of the improvements in CS2 is that it changes the color of the cursor to white when you’re over gray areas.

Thanks, I will check the settings. I don’t know why they would have changed by themselves though. I have been using Photoshop CS for a while now and have been trying to figure it out myself. However, yesterday I finally ordered the 7 disk tutorial set for Photoshop CS and the Tips and Tricks CD from Total Training Systems. That should help.
