  • Change the color of all text in a AE project

I have an AE project with lots of text layers in many compositions. These text layers all share the same color. If I want to change the color of all the text, is there a way to do this without having to open each composition searching for text layers? A plugin, script, anything?

You could write a script for this, but it might be more trouble than it’s worth. I’m assuming the text color was set with the Character palette, in which case your script would need to add fill color animators to each text layer.

Unless, possibly, you have CS4, where scripting has more access to text attributes.
