got a text layer how do i change it`s text?
i acces the text layer like this
item(x). after the dot i`m stuck :))) -

If you’re talking about expressions, you can just use the expression’s pick whip to generate the correct syntax.
If you’re talking about scripting, methods to text properties is covered pretty thoroughly in the AE Scripting Guide.
I’m not sure where you’re headed with “item(x).”, but it doesn’t look familiar (at least not for text).
