  • Change Text Color and Outline Mode Without Changing Text Value

Posted by John Pugnale on August 15, 2008 at 5:16 pm

I have a project that has about 50 titles created with the Text Media Generator (not Protype). I want to change the color of all of the titles to Yellow with a Black Outline. I thought this would be simple to do with a preset, but I am missing something. I changed the color and outline on the first title and saved a preset. When I apply this preset to another title the value of the text changes to that of the first title. I have read the manual and searched forum posts in vain, but cannot find any way to create a preset that will change only desired attributes (color and outline, in this case). I hate to think that I have to do this individually for each title.

    Any thoughts?

agreed, a world of pain. One of my pet hates, but been there, done that.

    🙁

last time I had to do that, IIRC, made up some quirky copy/paste combo, essentially manual, using key combos. something like
    1) copy text inside dialogue
    2) apply preset
    3) highlight text
    4) paste text

would LOVE there to be a faster way, but me not know it
