  • Change position in a Time Remapping Loop after each loop

Posted by Diego Mellado on April 3, 2014 at 11:20 am

    Dear all,
I am trying to move a fixed amount of pixels a layer after each cycle on a Time Remapping loop (loopOut(“cycle”))
I am not sure if this is possible, but it seems that using type=”offset” can do it. I can’t find how.
    Could somebody throw some light?

    Best,
    Diego

Do you want the layer to jump a certain distance when a loop completes or move a distance over the life of the loop?

Hello Darby, and thanks for your interest.
I would like it to move once each cycle has finished.
I were able to do it using hold keyframes in the position property and a loopOut(“offset”) expression but I would like the movement to be erratic, not always in the same direction. Is it even possible?
    Best and thanks again,
    Diego

    Hi Dave,
First of all, thanks a lot for your suggestions.
I already considered that option. I have 150 layers looping, I just dind’t want to move them manually, that’s waht I was asking for a pseudo-random movement.

    Best,
    Diego
