Change playback frame rate on HDW-D1800
We work primarily in 1080i 29.97 on an HDW-D1800. Today I got a tape that says 1080 23.98psf and it plays back sped up and with no audio, typical of a playback frame rate issue.
I’m poring over the menus and manuals, but does anyone know of a simple setting on this deck to make it switch from 29.97 to 23.98, since obviously the isn’t playing back correctly?

too much to ask. I’m not familiar with that model but on the SRW decks you have to go to the menu called System Menu, change you settings there and then reboot the deck. I don’t believe that the audio is going to play at off speed.
Now if you had asked the studio to deliver a specific format and they didn’t then you should probably send it back.

That worked. For future searchers it was menu item 013 and called system frequency. Thanks!
We’d asked for 29.97. It’s a movie studio EPK and BTS, and I’m sure there’s zero chance I’ll get correct materials in time to make our cut by Wednesday. I don’t have the luxury of kicking it back, sadly.
