Change part of image to match rest of image
I have a photo that somehow is split with different settings. I am not too familiar with Photoshop, I’m video and effects guy, and have tried to do it in Lightroom, to no avail. Anyone know a way to do this?

It’s difficult because it feels like there’s so many values that are different between the two halves but I got it close and with more time I’m sure it could be done faultlessly. Basically I used an exposure adjustment layer to brighten up the top and then used the rectangular marquee tool to select just the top bit and applied that selection as a layer mask.
No doubt someone with more smarts will now jump in with the automatic magical way to do it but that’s a quick way to do it till they turn up.
