hi guys (posted this to Davincihelp as well )

i am facing the same issue again , i have to change the parent directory for 100 R3Ds , and everything seems quite complicated and not working …

for example i have to change this shot from

    /Volumes/STADIUM/STADIUM/MEDIA/R3D/day1_020811/A014_0207JB.RDM/A014_C016_02087J.RDC

    to

    /Volumes/Davinci Data 1/Stadium Summer 2011/Consolidated R3D/STADIUM/MEDIA/R3D/day1_020811/A014_0207JB.RDM/A014_C016_02087J.RDC

i was expecting that pointing the first folder that the 2 directories have in common would be enough (in this case the folder called R3D) because after that the structure of the new directory is the same as the old media directory …

but nothing is relinking unless i go shot by shot and i point the exact position of that R3D shot (not even that R3D reel folder …it need the same exact shot )…

am i doing anything wrong ? it seems to me that resolve is not looking on subfolders ….

ps:only once i was able to relink 100’s of R3Ds shots in 1 click , but maybe because in that case i moved the media just one folder further …

    example :

    i had the R3D in /Volumes/BCBG
    and i moved to /Volumes/BCBG/R3D

so pointing all the R3D (in the media browser ) to the new directory worked fine … but anything a bit more complex like the example above seems that never work ..

    any suggestion ?

    thanks
